On September 30, 2023, Louis A. Pilachowski of Dundalk passed away peacefully at his home. Louis, known to his loved ones as Lou or Louie the Hat was born on June 19, 1935 to the late Sadie (nee Drejka) and Louis S. Pilachowski. Beloved husband of the late Betty J. Pilachowski for 68 years. Devoted father of Betty Stahm and her husband Gary, Donna Balcer and her husband Charles, Louis Pilachowski and his wife Dawn. Cherished Jajie of Todd (Lia), Kimberly (Rick), Shannon, Gary (Kristine), Brian (Amber), Stephen (Clare), Rachel, Louie (Jenna), Chasity (Brandon), and Jacob. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Lou was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and served his country with honor and distinction. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially during the holidays keeping the family tradition of making homemade Polish sausage. His favorite past time was playing the lottery.
Lou was a caring husband, dad, and jajie and we will miss you always. Forever in our hearts, we will hold your memory.
To honor and celebrate Lou's life, funeral services have been arranged. A public viewing will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Monday October 9th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm, where friends and loved ones can pay their respects. A funeral mass will follow on Tuesday October 10th, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Hope Church, 1727 Lynch Road. Lou will be laid to rest at the Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery immediately following the mass, where his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, located at 7501 German Hill Road. This place will serve as a reminder of the remarkable man he was and the impact he had on those around him.
