With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lucille Francis Giacubeno, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and affection touched the lives of all who knew her. Born on August 22, 1952, in Maryland, Lucille passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Dundalk, Maryland, surrounded by her family.
Daughter of the late Madeline and late Joseph Giacubeno. She was also the devoted sister of Joann Ferguson, Roy Giacubeno, and sister-in-law to Gundy Giacubeno. Her family, who meant the world to her, includes her cousin Kathy Hughes, nephews Jason Giacubeno (wife Diane), Brian Giacubeno, and Joseph Ferguson (wife Sarah); niece Jenny Coppel (husband Troy); and great-nieces and nephews Ashley, Colby, Hunter, Gina, Aidan, Madelyn, Adrian, Cashton, and Delia. Her loyal cat, Gracy, was her constant companion.
Lucille dedicated many years of her life as a secretary at The Baltimore Sun, where she formed lasting relationships with coworkers and took pride in her work. Her passion for crafting included stained glass, crocheting, quilting, painting, and sewing. Known for her baking and love of QVC and Second Avenue, she was also active at the senior center. Her gentle spirit, creativity, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Christian Mass will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church on 10/31/2024 at 9:00 AM. The address is 3 Dunmanway Dundalk Md. 21222. The burial will immediately follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens located at 10201 Bird River Rd. Middle River Md. 21220.
