Mary Ratajczak

Mary Margaret Ratajczak (nee Fischer), 85, of Sparrows Point Maryland passed away on November 2, 2024 in AccentCare, an in-patient hospice, at Franklin Square Hospital, from a long hard battle with small cell lung cancer.

Mary was born August 28th, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late George and Marie Fischer. In 1963 Mary and Joseph Ronald Ratajczak wed at the United Evangelical Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Joseph Ratajczak, her brother William and wife Pamela, her brother Robert and wife Angela, her brother Cliff and wife Betty, her sister Mildred (Scardina) and husband John, her brother Allen and wife Martha. Still surviving brother, Julius and wife Nancy. She also leaves behind her daughters, Theresa Maria and Cindy Lee, and her wife Melissa Reynolds and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the United Evangelical Church of Christ. Mary was a bookkeeper for F.W. Woolworths in Highlandtown for 39 years. After she retired, she became a "Mom-mom" to many. She had four special grandchildren, Kelsey Mohr, Emily Vetri and fiancé Kira Hart, Samantha Vetri, and Mia Vetri. She also embraced many other "grandkids" including, Lindsey Shanahan, Nicholas Rogers and his wife Taylor, and Trevor Rodgers.

A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same location on Thursday November 7 at 9:00 am. Graveside to follow at Meadowridge Cemetery.
