In Loving Memory of Michael Anthony Thorne

Michael Anthony Thorne, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on September 1, 1963, in MD, Michael was a dedicated and hardworking individual who brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life filled with love, compassion, and cherished memories.

Michael was a skilled underground pipe fitter, dedicated to his craft. For many years, he proudly employed his expertise at Spinello, where he was admired for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Michael found immense joy in the simpler pleasures of life. He had a genuine love for Ravens football, cheering on his team wholeheartedly through every season. He also found solace in the serene waters, as fishing for rockfish allowed him to unwind and reconnect with nature. However, his most treasured moments were spent in the company of his siblings. Daily visits with his brothers and sisters were a cherished ritual that brought him immense happiness and a sense of belonging.

Michael will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Connie Thorne. He also leaves behind children, Michael and Chad Benton, Melissa Dyer, and Alexis Schnitker, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life. He found immense happiness in watching them grow.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Joan Thorne, and his brother, Robin Thorne (survived by Josephine). Though their absence is felt keenly, he is survived by his siblings Roxanne Daniels (husband Alvin) Melvin Thorne, Kathy Gurley (late husband Walt), Mark Thorne (wife Tina), Christopher Thorne (wife Karen), and Tammy Tracey (husband Michael). Michael's memory will also be treasured by his loving nieces and nephews.
