On November 1st 2020, Norma Ann Hartman Spielman passed away at the age of 87. She was married to the late LeRoy A. Spielman the love of her life since June 10th 1950. They just celebrated their 70th year of marriage. Devoted Mother to Norma Jean Spielman Szewczyk and Husband Thomas, Sandra Lee Spielman Kotova and Husband Dennis, and Robert LeRoy Spielman and Wife Theresa. Cherished Grand Mother of Melissa Gasker Dishon and Husband Rob, Stacey Gasker Costello and Husband Chris, April Hidden Karczmarek and husband Brian, Paul Hidden, Robert Spielman and Wife Heather, and Lindsay Spielman Hauck and husband Herb. Great Grand Mother of Kristen, Kourtney, Michael, Noah, Shaun, Ryan, Owen, Bryson, Ava and Luke. Great Great Grand Mother of Kinsley, Timothy and Brooks.
Norma was Born August 3rd 1933 to John and Isabelle Malone Hartman, the 5th of 6 children. Both Parents and Siblings all preceded her in death. John, George, Regina, Dorothy and Albert. She was a very Loving Aunt to Many Nieces and Nephews.
Roy and Norma made their home in Baltimore, Dundalk Area, where they raised their children Norma Jean, Sandy and Bobby. Norma worked at Western Electric, Bethlehem Steel, and J.C. Penney. She always worked very hard in and out of the home so she could play hard with the family, Traveling, Camping, Fishing and Boating. She loved baking and cooking for friends and family always having her favorites that everyone enjoyed.
She love her ladies Club G.A.F.I.A. planning trips and enjoying celebrating holidays together, and always enough ladies to fill a bus. She was a life member of the Battle Grove Democratic Club, Ladies VFW Auxiliary, and Ladies Moose.
Spending time with her grand children was a favorite always Grand Mom was the family's Matriarch and she always made each and everyone feel special. She enjoyed the ORIOLES going to the games with her girl friends, Loved Boog Powel and rooting them on. Playing cards was also a big family favorite. Listening to Music, Country, 50's and 60's, Floating on a tube in a pool or in the bay was total enjoyment with an adult beverage. She was always there with her Love, time and support for family and friends, always remembered all the special days for everyone. So many wonderful memories.
We are hoping to have a celebration of Life for both Mom and Dad at a future date. Rest in Peace Mom with Dad. Until we meet again with all our love always.
