Phyllis Ruth Schilling

Phyllis R. Schilling, long time Dundalk resident was called home to the Lord on Sunday June 13, 2021. Born in Parkville Maryland on April 19, 1938 to Ike and Elizabeth Engleman.  She was the youngest of three sisters.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Robert C Schilling,  parents and sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) and Shirley Vyers.

Phyllis graduated from Parkville High School in 1956 and began a career in commercial banking.  She married Robert  Schilling in the summer of 1960.  Shortly after they moved to Connecticut where they started their family. The family moved back to Dundalk in 1970, where she was a stay at home Mom until the early 1980’s when she reentered the commercial banking sector. 

Phyllis was devoted to both her Church and Veterans who proudly served their country. She served as a Past District 14 President and Secretary, Past Auxiliary President at Gray Manor, Dundalk, and Parkville VFW Auxiliaries.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter Nancy Schilling, son Richard Schilling, daughter in law Victoria Schilling, son in law William Garnis, and grandsons James Corrao and Mathew Clark. 

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service celebrating Phyllis' life will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Garrison Forest Veteran's Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Robert.
