Rhea M Hlopak

Rhea M Hlopak, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devout Catholic, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023 at her home. Rhea was born on June 10, 1930, and throughout her journey of 93 years, she touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Known for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering faith, Rhea was a pillar of strength and love for her family.

She is predeceased by her cherished first husband Jack Simons and survived by her beloved husband Michael Hlopak. Rhea's legacy lives on through her children, Charles Simons, William Simons, and Jackie Webster, who will forever be grateful for the love and guidance she provided. Her grandchildren, Kerry Ann, Jennifer, Lindsay, Kimberly, Jamie, Robert, Kim, Douglas, and Christine, carry their memories of Rhea's nurturing and joyful spirit. Rhea's 11 great-grandchildren brought immense joy and pride to her life, and each of them held a special place in her heart.

While we grieve the loss of a remarkable woman, we find solace in the knowledge that Rhea lived a life filled with love, faith, and compassion. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly through the memories and values she imparted to her cherished family.

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Friday from 3-7 PM. A funeral service celebrating Rhea's life will be held Saturday morning at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rhea's memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
