Robert Slayton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Gene Slayton, age 82, on March 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Beverly Ann Slayton and a dear twin brother to William Dean Slayton. He was a devoted father to the late Renee Yvette Richardson and Bobbie Paula Barton and Carla Kay Slayton. Robert was also a loving step-father to Barry Lee Murphy and Kimberly Ann Murphy.

Robert was a cherished grandfather to Brian Keith Richardson, Joshua Lee Slayton, Nicolette Felicia Barton, Crystal Lynn Wood (nee Ardis), and Kristi Richardson. He was the proud great-grandfather of 12 great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Robert retired from General Motors, where his strong work ethic and dedication made a lasting impression. He was known for being a man of few words but immense strength, kindness, and compassion. He loved his family deeply, and his quiet, gentle nature and unwavering love left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Robert's legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will forever be cherished. He was a man whose character spoke louder than words, and his family takes great comfort in knowing he is at peace.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life on Friday, March 21, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk. A service celebrating his life will begin at 4:30 PM.

Robert will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
