Roy George Herring Jr.

Roy a resident of Watersedge, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home on August 14th with family members present. After attending high school he married his high school sweetheart, Debbie. Roy then served in the United States Navy from 1972 - 1977. After his service he began his career as a truck driver.  A well-love man, Roy enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with his large family and friends. 

 

Roy was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer in his early years, never missed a Baltimore Ravens game and loved family camping trips. Story times were endless with memories carried through the years.

 

Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He is leaving behind his wife of 51 years, Deborah, 2 sons, Roy and Brian, daughter- in- laws, Jamie and Kim, Grandchildren, Roy IV, Taylor, Dyllan, Givoni, Dustin, Mason, Honiste Herring and Sierra Roberts Also 2 great grandchildren Kade Herring and Ava Miller. His surviving siblings, Sandra Gill, Linda Atwell, Joseph Herring and Brenda Brizzie will miss him dearly.  Roy will additionally be missed by other loving family and friends.

 

Visitation with family will be offered on Wednesday August 18th, 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk at 7110 Sollers Point Road. A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 8pm at the funeral home.
