Wardrope, Roy Muir, of Dundalk, formerly of Joppatowne, MD and Albert, West Virginia. Went home on January 29, 2019 to be with his beloved wife Peggy. He was married to Peggy Boone for 64.5 years who died in December 2017. Sons, Thomas Walter (Sharon) of Abingdon, MD, and Ronald Roy of Dundalk, MD. Roy was born in Albert, WV. His parents were Alexander and Alice Wardrope of Dunfermline, Fife Scotland. Roy graduated from Thomas High School in 1948, he served in the Korean War in the Navy was aboard the USS Lake Champlain. Roy’s family being from Scotland played Bagpipes with his 3 brothers and father. He played in the MacKenzie Scotts Band in the 1960’s. He played for many store openings in the 1960’s. He was an avid wood worker and made many of the furniture items for him and his wife. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation in 1985. He found what he called the BEST JOB he ever had at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Zone Maintenance Supervisor and retired in 2000. He is also survived by grandchildren, Thomas John, Gregory Scott (MacKenzie), and Stephanie Nicole, 3 great grandchildren, Scarlett and Chaise Muir Heflin and Adelaide Wardrope. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Brothers, James, Alexander, Douglas, and Glenn, and Sisters, Elizabeth (Sissy), Jeanette, Virginia (Jeannie) and 3 other siblings who died as young children.
