Stephen Edward Kohoskie of Audubon, PA passed away peacefully at home on September 9th, 2023 at the age of 80. He was the loving husband of Leslie (nee Stevenson) Kohoskie who he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Miami Florida to Edward and Marie Kohoskie, Stephen graduated from Loyola College of Maryland where he played varsity Lacrosse and upon graduation was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He served in various locations, including Vietnam, ultimately completing his career as a Captain. He remained a loyal Greyhound lacrosse fan and patron his entire life. He went on to a build a successful career as an executive in the Insurance industry, where he spent many decades leading sales teams for several nationally known companies. In addition to his loyalty to Loyola Lacrosse, Stephen was a life long Steelers fan, and was known for his love of John Wayne movies.
Stephen is survived by his wife Leslie and their four children: Kimberly McLaughlin and her husband John, Dawn Kemp and her husband Nicholas, Cary Kohoskie and Judith Ricketts and her husband Donavon. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Kohoskie (Joe R), his sisters Debbie Matarozza (Robert) and Cindy Whitaker (d. Joe), cousin Carol Arnold and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was also fondly known as "Poppie" to his nine grandchildren: Connor, Audra, John William, Molly, Nicholas, Jack, Haley, Anabel and William.
The wake will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Thursday, September 14th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 6400 East Pratt Street, will be held on Friday, September 15th at 9am. Burial Services immediately following Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road.
