Theresa A. Hellman

On Thursday, April 1, Jesus opened his arms and welcomed Theresa, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, into his Kingdom.  She was 93 years old

Theresa was born on October 31, 1927 to parents Michael Duschl, Jr. and Johanna Duschl.  She was married for 55 years to Edward Hellman, Sr. who was the love of her life.  Ed passed away in 2004.

She deeply loved her children Catherine “Kitty” Sauer (and fiancée Daniel Carroll); Edward Hellman, Jr. who passed away in 1980 and Richard Hellman and wife Theresa Hellman.  She was a proud grandmother to Paul Edward Sauer, Sr. and wife Nina Sauer; Joseph Hellman and Tracey Hellman and Henry Sauer, III who passed away in 1979 and Nicholas Heider.

Her great-grandchildren are Paul Edward Sauer, Jr.; Christopher Sauer; and Kyle Sauer.  Owen Sauer and Paul Sauer, III were her beloved great-great grandchildren.

Theresa had seven brothers and sisters who predeceased her. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  Her niece Theresa Sassard was considered her second daughter.

Theresa had a great sense of humor which she passed on to her family.  She enjoyed doing puzzles on her Ipad and being with her family.

The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 10:30 am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
