Vernon Humes

Vernon Humes born August 18, 1963 and passed on July 24, 2017. Vernon was a lifelong Baltimore resident.   Vernon was a compassionate and loving father, brother, partner and friend. He is survived by his esteemed mother and stepfather, Hazel and John Eckert, his beloved sons Kevin and Jason Humes and their partners Juliana and Brianna. His adored spouse and her family Lori Gummer, Farrin and grandson Jace, his cherished sisters and their spouses Tonya and Rick Nowakowski, Malinda Humes and Bryan Edick brother Shawn Humes and numerous nieces and nephews.   He was a hard worker who loved his profession as a fire protection specialist and deeply valued his co-workers as well as the company he has worked at for several years.  Vernon was a spiritual man and devoted to those he loved, always put love in their hearts and smiles on their faces. He will be remembered for his passion of music and singing as well as his contagious laugh and extraordinary sense of humor. He will be missed proudly and the memories of him will be forever valued.   Friends may call at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road at Delvale Ave. on Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. A service to celebrate Vernon's life will be held on Friday at 7 PM.
