Walter John Ostrowski

Walter John "Walt" Ostrowski, Sr. age 63, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was a devoted husband of forty years to Donna (Silwick) Ostrowski and the father to Sarah, Walter Jr., Kevin and his wife Dianna.  His grandchildren Mya, Kevin, and Hunter were the light of his life.

Walt was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Ostrowski and his sister Mary Schmidt.  He is survived by his brothers Daniel (Nancy), Dennis, Bruce (Barb), and his sister Helen (Vince) Bocianowski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Walt was an outdoor kind of guy.  He loved crabbing, fishing, and gardening.  He enjoyed sports and spent many years coaching his children’s Rec teams, he even came out of retirement to help coach his grandson’s tee-ball team. Through the years he was considered a father and role model to many. Walt also enjoyed working with his hands and was a recently retired Union Carpenter. 

He spent every weekend enjoying time with his children and grandchildren. He loved life! 

Everyone loved his down to earth personality and his quick wit. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation with family will be offered on Monday, August 23rd, 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday, August 24th, 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9pm at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk at 7110 Sollers Point Road. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 25th at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
