Welford "Peanut" Shifflett

Welford "Peanut" Shifflett, 58, of Dundalk, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, March 30, 2018. He was the husband of Lurlene "Doodle" Shifflett, his wife of 31 years.Peanut was born Nov. 24, 1959, in Baltimore, the son of of the late Mary Andrews and Cecil Shifflett.He was predeceased by his parents as well as a sister, Marie Alley, and a brother Wayne Shifflett. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Beverly Short, Kimberly Horney, and Trysta Shifflett; a granddaughter Shelby Hodges; two grandsons, Nicholas Short and Justin Hodges; one sister, Debra Shifflett; two brothers, Raymond and John Shifflett; as well as two nieces and a nephew.   Peanut enjoyed the simple things in life; camping, classic cars and spending time with his family. He was often found at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort, working on his golf carts and enjoying his retirement. He was often described as, "the life of the party", for he always knew how to make someone happy. Bringing laughter and smiles to others filled him with immense joy. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and warm heart. A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 3rd. from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Connelly's Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Rd., Dundalk, MD. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, MD
