William A. Fialkowski, Sr.

William A. Fialkowski, Sr. passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hart Heritage Senior Living Facility in Street, MD on June 20, 2023. Beloved husband for  61 years to Jeanne L. (Stahle). Devoted father of the late William A. Fialkowski, Jr., who departed at an early age of 20 from leukemia,  and Cathy J. Fialkowski who is married to David Majerowicz. Loving grandfather to Nikola, Stewart and his wife Kimberly, Crystal, William and Gregory, who all affectionately called him Jaju. Caring great grandfather to Vivia and Penny Majerowicz.

Bill was raised in his family owned funeral home with his parents, William and Laura and two sisters, Barbara and Dorothy. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School and Calvert Hall College High School. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier which he was very proud of and took great pride in serving his country.

Bill was very proud to be the fourth generation of funeral directors in the family owned, Fialkowski Funeral Home in Fells Point. His son, Billy was the fifth generation to manage and serve in the family business until his early death.

After the business was sold, Bill worked as a sales rep for Gerber Baby Products until his retirement in 1998. He then went back to being a funeral director for five funeral homes. Bill worked mainly for Connelly Funeral home of Dundalk. He was honored of his position there and to be working with family, Colt Connelly, his second cousin. Bill’s Aunt Cecila Fialkowski married John Gordon Connelly and through this marriage, Connelly Funeral Home was established.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. There will be a second visitation held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11:00AM -12:00PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 1727 Lynch Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the William A. “Billy” Fialkowski, Jr. Mortuary Science Scholarship Fund, CCBC Foundation.
