William W. Wittler Sr.

William (Bill) W. Witter, Sr., 83, of Baltimore, MD, passed peacefully in his home on May 20, 2020 surrounded by his beloved wife Karen of 19 years. 

Bill is survived by his loving sister Helen (John) Voigt, daughters Peggy Funk, Debby (John) Walker, Brenda Godwin, and sons William Wittler, Jr., Stephen (Linda) Wittler, and Daniel Wittler, and grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Cox, Benjamin (Nicole) Funk, Katy (Greg) Long, Candace  (Chris) Brookey, John Walker, Danny (Rebecca) Walker, William Wittler III, Nicole Wittler, Danielle Witter, Zachary (Ariel)Klein, Jessica Klein, Joshua Klein, John Wittler, Ian Wittler, Leah Wittler, Alexandra Memphis, Danny Wittler, Jr., Kaitlin Wittler, and 14 great grandchildren, and step children Heidi (Scott) Day, Rebecca (Chris) Mellen, and their children Tierney and Brenna Mellen, and Ashley and Cody Day, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Brenda Lee Wittler and Wilbur William Wittler, and wife and mother of his children Margaret Louise Wittler.

Bill was a long-time member of the American Legion and served as  Commander of James C. Ludwig Post 139 and as a Baltimore District Commander. As the former owner of Bill’s Unisex Barbershop in Dundalk, Bill was passionate about helping those less fortunate in the community, and he excelled in customer care up until his retirement in 2017.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
